PFC CSKA Moscow celebrate the 98th anniversary
In the autumn of 1900 a group of skiers left Moscow Skiers Club (MSC) willing to form a new sport society. As early as on June 26, 1901 Grand Duke A. Obolensky, Assistant (Deputy) Minister of Home Affairs, approved the Charter of the Ski Sport Amateurs Society (abbreviated as OLLS in Russian).
Wilhelm (Vasily) Peters, one of the founders of Moscow skiing club, became the first Chairman of the new club. In 1908 he was replaced by Fedor Genning.
Football section at the OLLS was formed in 1911. In the same season OLLS football players entered Moscow championship staging three teams in “B” class. In the opening year the colors of the first OLLS team defended the following players: goalkeeper - A. Boukhovtsev, right backs - Tomsen and Fiveisky, left back - Shaforostov, right half back - Favorsky, central half backs - Kynnikov and Postnov, left half back - V. Stroganov, right wing - Chetverikov-I and Knagen, right insides - Gorsky and I, Lebedev, center forward - Chetverikov-II, left inside - Nikiforov, left wing - Karataev.
The first official match by OLLS team in Moscow championship was held against club “Vega” on August 27, 1911. Our team won - 6:2. This day, August 27th, is considered as PFC CSKA birthday.
